Customers From Far Off Lands

Today's blog has to do with what is probably the longest distance anyone has ever come from to have me coat something. These parts came from over 2.5 hours away. I was honestly a little shocked when the customers told me how far they had driven.

Any who these parts are off of what is called a "Trail Trekker." For those who don't know what that is, it was a two wheel drive motorcycle that was built in the 70's for riding through swamps and deep woods. When the project showed up the customer wanted the color to match as closely as we could to the original color from the factory. It took a little digging through some choices but we did eventually find a color that was pretty darn close.

After deciding on a color it was just a matter of the usual sandblasting and coating. The best part about this project is 1970's paint comes off really really easy. So blasting took no time at all. The color was a nice easy single stage color that shot beautifully, so all in all a super easy straight forward job. The customer was thrilled with the work so it was a win win all the way around.
